Signed l.l titled, dated 1980, and numbered 48/100.

This work was exhibited at ‘Prints from Cornwall’ cat.49. John Graham Fine Arts, Harlow in June 1983.

Tom Cross (1931 - 2009) was well known as a painter, teacher and writer. He regularly exhibited his work after graduating from the Slade in the mid 1950's, as well as holding a number of educational positions culminating in Principal of Falmouth School of Art 1976-87. He wrote ‘Painting The Warmth Of The Sun’, a book about the St Ives Modernist period that helped prepare the ground for the founding of the Tate Gallery in St Ives which opened in 1993.

Some age related spots on paper. Newly mounted and framed.
