Almost certainly published by Galerie Aimé Maeght in Paris, circa 1946. The collector Aimé Maeght had invited Marchand to work in Cannes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence in 1944 and introduced him to Matisse and Bonnard. In 1945 Maeght opened his own gallery in Paris and a year later dedicated a large and critically acclaimed exhibition to Marchand whose work was hugely popular at the time.
