Frame in good condition, with some wear and tear commensurate with age.
Newly upholstered with a 70% Viscose 30% Linen mix by Prestigious Textiles.
Lyons designed a range of postwar furniture to be made in laminated plywood, keeping material costs low without compromising creativity of form. Part of a three piece suite.
Lyons was a postwar pioneer of Modernism who worked under Walter Gropius and went on to create Span Developments which are now considered part of the UK's historic architectural environment.
